Our Election Day

So we went to DC for Election Day....not for any reason, just because we had the time and Robert insists that me and Amber should see the monuments at night. Of course the day we pick it is drizzling so it deterred us a little for seeing a majority of the monuments up close. we'll try again after the holidays (because we are too busy to do it before!).

Just want to say a little something about the election. If you were a McCain supporter I hope you are able to deal with Obama and not be a sore loser, and for the Obama supporters, I hope you can get over what has happened in the past and not be a "sore winner". What our country needs to do is stop being so polarized and start being united no matter what our views, there has to be some common ground. I am tired of being the American in the middle of all the fighting! It seems that people are just disagreeing to prove their point which only makes our country more and more divided! I wish all those people in Congress could see what this is doing to our country, it seems that they are blind and hopefully that will change....maybe it is part of this "change" that Obama is talking about; I guess we will just have to wait and see.

Totally agree. I like that--"try not to be a sore winner." I will keep my gloating on the inside, but after the last two elections, I am definitely feeling a lot better this morning after. (:

The monuments at night are gorgeous, especially if there is some snow on the ground and everything is so still and silent. Too bad we won't be in DC this time next year to appreciate it!

Here, here Sara. I couldn't agree more. For now, folks won't be able to blame how things are going on the other party, but the unhappy will still find a way to find things not to be satisfied with.

We are way overdue for people to just start being held accountable for their actions, every body and every political party. Government can't take care of all of us, that's up to the individual.

We'll see what happens......I wish Obama well for the sake of the this great nation of ours.

I love the pic of the Washington monument at night, the rain really gave it a cool effect.
